ConsultationOur process always starts with a PROJECT INQUIRY form to get more information about your project: scope, budget, timeline, ideas, etc.
Next we find a time for an in-person consultation. This initial consultation cost is $180. The purpose of the consultation is to get an idea for the scope of the project, your budget, and talk about timeline and costs. It is also an opportunity for us to get a feel for whether we are good fit for one another. We will take one hour for the meeting and we will have an extra half hour blocked out for ballpark measurements as necessary. Having already received information beforehand about the space and project we will come prepared with suggestions and ideas for your space. It is also a time for inspiration and free flow conversation about your spaces. After our time together you will get a typed-up Scope of Work that you can use to present to contractors for apples-to-apples pricing for the job. You will also get a general summary of all ideas discussed, a general mood board (so you can know if we can capture your described aesthetic/feel for the project) and/or sketches of the space(s) to keep and use. |
DesignWe do offer Design Packages if you want to tackle the project yourself or use our design services and then work with your own contractor. Design pricing is based on square footage of the space we will be working on.
We’ll discuss your budget, goals and needs in detail, helping you prioritize your wish list and assess your project’s feasibility. Then with the measurements of your space we will come up with professional plans/drawings for you. You will get mood boards with links to every item which will make putting the space together a breeze for you or your contractor. You will also get a materials cost estimate (all finishing items-not drywall, framing, etc). The Design Package comes with a set number of post consultations for edits to narrow down final design choices. You can use the Design Package information to do the project yourself or you can pass them on to a contractor. We have set design fees based on what room we are designing and the square footage of the space. Feel free to ask for a pdf of our price sheet. |
BuildThe design cost is built into the cost of the remodel if you decide to hire us for the entirety of your project.
After the initial consultation the next step is to interview contractors. Once we have a quote we can get started.
We work alongside reputable local builders and contractors to help bring your vision to life. Our projects run smoothly because of our team attitude. We aim to keep projects on schedule and on budget. Usually a design contract is signed with us and a separate contract is signed with the lead contractor for the job. The cost for bringing us along for the build journey is 10% of the overall project cost (including labor and materials). Most clients end up choosing this option because of the advantages of having one more advocate for their goals and vision as part of the equation. With a designer on board also acting as project manager on the clients' behalf potholes in the road become pebbles. Quick pivoting, listening, advocating, tracking timelines, and double checking the quality of work along the way are just some of the advantages. |
